Meet the team

We’re Not Professionals. We Just Read a Lot of Mysteries.

Basically Detectives is mystery-solving headquarters for readers who can’t resist a good clue. Our detective team is colorful, our gadgets are questionable, and our canine sidekick has never once found the right suspect, but he always finds the snacks.

  • The Leader. Leopard-print trench coat, non-negotiable. Has a theory by chapter three.
  • The Gadget Guy. His inventions rarely work. His hunches usually do.
  • The Bookworm. Has read every mystery. Will not spoil a single one.
  • The Dog. Chief Sniffing Officer. Very good boy. Terrible detective.

“We have questions. Lots of questions. Mostly about chapter 17.”
